It is a known fact that the blind can work without barriers using computers more than any other manual jobs. 99% is the unemployment ratio of people with blindness. The main reason for this unemployment is the lack of digital education. The secondary reason lack of jobs for people with visual impairments who completed their degrees in humanities or commerce.
To end this ordeal, school children with visual impairment must get good foundational education in science and mathematics and motivate them to pursue higher education in the area of technology. Keeping this in mind in the year 2012 Summer, Chakshumathi organized the first Eyes Free Science Summer Camp at the lakeside campus of Kanthari International Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram.

The 10th Eyes Free Science Camp has moved one step and become Inclusive open admission for all other physical challenges such as sensory (Blind, Low Vision, and Deaf) and other print challenge categories from Neurodiverse students.

The results of these camps are astonishing and dozens of alumni of the past camps are now working in software companies, Banks, and research labs. Many students applied and underwent admission to IVY universities and were employed in MNCs.

11the Inclusive Eyes Free Science camp is scheduled to be hosted in Srinagar, Kashmir, this May 2025.
